Join our six week hand building pottery course to learn slab, coil, and pinch techniques. Create unique pieces in a relaxed atmosphere that promotes creativity and camaraderie. With hands-on guidance from Leanne Doble an experienced instructor, you'll manipulate clay and express your artistic vision, fostering a sense of community. The pottery sessions will take place at the Jericho Pottery Studio in Drysdale. Tools and materials and firing will be provided in the cost, allowing attendees to focus on creativity and self-expression, allowing attendees to focus on creativity and self-expression.

February 5th 6:30-8:30 pm - Pinch pot method.

February 12th 6:30-8:30 pm - Coil method.

February 19th 6:30-8:30 pm - Slab Method method.

February 26th 6:30-8:30 pm - explore your favourite technique

March 12th -No Classes (time to dry and fire clay)

March 19th 6:30-8:30 pm- Glaze night!

The Details

• Class Requirements: This course is for adults and teens aged 14+. Anyone under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian (both require a paid ticket).

• Class Minimum: A minimum of 6 students is needed for the course to go ahead. We’ll contact you if the class doesn’t meet numbers.

• Firing: Your term includes firing for up to 2kg of work. Any additional pieces will be $10 per kilo, payable at the end of the term.

• Collection: Finished pieces will be ready for pickup 4-6 weeks after the term ends.

What to Bring

• Clothing: Wear something you don’t mind getting messy and wear closed-toe shoes.

• Weather: Dress for the season—our studio is in an industrial space so comfort is key!

A Few Friendly Reminders

• Choose Dates Carefully: Unfortunately, we can’t offer refunds or make-up classes for missed sessions.

• Be On Time: Classes are 2 hours, including cleanup time, so arriving late means missing out on that portion of the session. If you're running late or early, just let us know!

• Photos: We occasionally take photos during workshops for our website and social media. If you’d prefer not to be photographed, let us know before the session starts.

• Have Fun: Most importantly, enjoy yourself and tell your friends!
